Prairie Avenue may have been the “sunny street that held the sifted few,” but less than a mile to the west one could find the infamous red-light district known as the Levee. The district thrived from the 1880s through the first decade of the 20th century and was home to numerous brothels, saloons, and dance halls.
Meet Ada and Minna Everleigh---Chicago's most famous sisters who operated the ultra-luxurious bordello known as the Everleigh Club at 2131-33 S. Dearborn from 1900 until it was closed by mayoral order in 1911. Learn to sort fact from fiction as we study their fabricated lives from birth to death within the context of the Chicago neighborhood and the surrounding community.

She lectures nationally on the use of DNA test results in genealogical problem-solving, always within the framework of the Genealogical Proof Standard.
